Portland CIA Can’t Host HS Hoops ‘B” States

When the high school basketball Class B state championship games roll around next March, the MPA is not going to have the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland as the host site because of the America East women's basketball tourney.

The scheduling conflict means the MPA will need to play those Friday, March 3rd girls and boys title games elsewhere.

Three choices would be the Portland Expo, the Augusta Civic Center and the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Last year, the Houlton vs Gray-New Gloucester and Ellsworth vs Lake Region state games drew larged crowds at the Bangor venue.
