According to WMTW, Portland is getting closer to making a bike share program happen. Tooling around town on a bike that you rent and unlock through a cell phone app sounds pretty cool, but not everyone is on board. With pedestrian and vehicle traffic already causing congestion in downtown and the Old Port, some are concerned about the addition of more bicycles on the streets.

A bike share program would give locals as well as tourists a different way of experiencing the Portland and would provide inexpensive transportation.
