This is the picture we sent to friends and family in warm, sunny Thailand and California on Thanksgiving morning, our deck covered in snow! We also enjoyed our first "Snow Storm Sleep Over" of the season last week. Our cousins came from Damariscotta, where they had lost power, and stayed for a couple days until it came back. We had a delicious Thanksgiving, and busted out the mowhawk the next morning during breakfast. We have one lying about for just such occasions. Mark wore it while making thanksgiving dinner. Things get pretty weird at our house...

After playing lots of Minecraft and "Dragons", the kids started getting restless. We bundled them up in snow gear and sent them out to play in the snow. By this time it was dark out and the kids were playing by the light from the porch and garage. I remember doing that with my my cousins, happy memories! Of course, the smallest came back in after 10 minutes having to use the bathroom!

It was a wonderful visit!

What does your family do to stay entertained during snow storms? I'm taking suggestions for next time! Leave a comment on our Fan Page, or tweet #snowstormfun

I'll be investing in a pack of UNO cards.
