Should 9/11 Become a Federal Holiday? [POLL]

Every year since the September 11th attacks, our president has declared it to be "Patriot Day", a day of remembrance. Some Americans want 9/11 to become an official Federal Holiday; that means schools, banks and the government would be closed to observe the day.

There are two schools of thought about September 11th becoming a Federal Holiday:

• People who support 9/11 becoming an holiday feel it is appropriate to have a day to mourn and maybe travel to memorials, to donate blood or perform a service in honor of the lives lost or changed by the attacks.
• Some people worry that labeling September 11th a holiday will change the somber tone of it, and that it will be exploited with sales and marketing.
