Lawmakers are considering a bill that would require Maine high school students to learn hands-only C.P.R.. If the bill passes, students could take advantage of a free, 20 minute training course being offered on the American Heart Association's website. Levant Fire Chief Eric Strout believes that it could save many lives and that the training is especially crucial in rural Maine, where emergency response times can be longer. Twenty one other states have passed similar bills.

We should all learn C.P.R.!
