Former NFL Pro Bowl Tightend Tony Gonzalez may be itching to put on the pads again and play this season and the New England Patriots may be very interested in signing him, according to team's web site.

Patriots.com recently reported that Gonzalez recently retired from the Atlanta Falcons and has agreed to work for the NFL on CBS Sports as an analyst for the upcoming season. But Patriots.com also reported that Gonzalez still wants to get a Super Bowl ring, which makes the possibility of joining the Patriots more real. Meanwhile, Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski continues to make his way back from a torn ACL last season and may not be ready for the season opener against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 7.

So Pats fans, what do you think the Patriots should do? Should they try to sign Gonzalez or pass? Share your comments on our web site and on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #PatsGonzalez.
