29 years ago today, ZZ Top played the second of two sold-out nights at the Civic Center in Portland. They were here on the Recycler tour and the song My Head’s in Mississippi was rockin’ the airwaves of WBLM.

Along with Paul and Gene, this version of Kiss included Vinnie Vincent on guitar and Eric Carr on drums.

30 years ago, the Dr. Feelgood World Tour kindly melted the faces of a sold-out crowd on a stop in Portland, Maine. This was Mötley Crüe at the height of their powers bringing us a bonafide balls-to-the-wall night of 80s rock debauchery.

40 years ago today, WBLM welcomed a sold-out night of southern-fried rock to the Civic Center in Portland. The Outlaws brought their double-lead guitar attack along with 3 and 4 part harmonies to Blimpville for a second time, on December 9, 1979.

It was a Thursday night in front of a sold-out crowd at the Cumberland County Civic Center. Steven Tyler collapsed on stage which brought the show to a halt.

31 years ago today, WBLM welcomed back Ozzy Osbourne to the Civic Center. This was Ozzy’s 5th trip to Portland in support of his album No Rest for the Wicked

Today we look back to one of the last Maine shows of the 1970s with the original line-up of Aerosmith. It's also the anniversary of a 1982 Portland concert without guitarists Brad Whitford and Joe Perry. Both shows happened on November 19th at the Civic Center.
