When you think about it, it's pretty amazing that the NFL, and all major sports really, have been able to pull off a season during a global pandemic. Not just the actual game but the LOGISTICS of an entire football operation that employs hundreds of people. We thought this video was wicked interesting regarding the Patriots Media Operations. We've been talking to our friend Bob Socci every week, and one thing he has had to get used to is calling a game on the radio at an empty Gillette Stadium when the Patriots are playing on the road. One time, Bob called the away game for the Pats while there was youth soccer on the field!!

Last night for Monday Night Football, while the Pats and the Jets were battling in the Meadowlands, Bob was looking at a YOUTH SOCCER PRACTICE on the field. Strange days, indeed.

Watching the Patriots play Monday Night Football games was always a bit of a slog even in the best of times, but heading into tonight's match-up we figure we're going to need some kind of cake snack, some sweetness to off-set the grim proceedings, and then there's one of our favorite Bacardi concoctions just in case. Take your pick, it could be one of those nights. With the Jets. Ugh....

I know. I know. The Patriots may not be the juggernaut that we have become accustomed to. We have lost four in a row, We are dealing with terms right now like "re-building." I'm sorry...can someone explain that concept to me? I'm a Patriots Fan. But let's remember two things. One, we have Coach Belichick. Two, he has his Belestrator, which we are about to show you. Three (ok, I said there was only two), we are playing the Jets on Monday night. That alone is always fun

If you watch the Patriots on TV or listen to them here on WBLM, you hear a roar of the crowd. We all know, of course, that it's piped in crowd noise. In fact, the crowd noise you hear during the game are from REAL PATRIOTS GAMES that are being played back. Hey if you were at a game last year, you may be hearing yourself! Woah...that's a trip. Anyhoo, in the actual stadium, during the actual game, there is no crowd noise. Yup, it's quiet. Tooooooo quiet. So quiet, if you are there will understand the real level of inappropriate trash talking that goes on!

It's go time! For our guys, it's go time to right the ship and get what would be a huge win this weekend against Buffalo. OK. I can't believe I just wrote that. Is Buffalo really in first place? Yikes, they are. Ok, I've never written that sentence before, so please excuse me. Let's move on.

It's hard to play the "What If?" game. Especially when it comes to sports. But one has to wonder what would have happened if Jimmy Garoppolo had somehow stayed a New England Patriot, and filled the shoes of TB12. We asked our friend Tom Caron of NESN this week. His answer is enlightening:

The team is dealing with several cases of the coronavirus.

OK, this is the weirdest game day of a Monday Night Football game we've ever seen. The Patriots left for Kansas City this morning. They literally stopped traffic on I-93 during rush hour in Boston with their buses making their way to Logan airport.

Well, it looks like Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, will likely have the charges against him dropped

Our great friend Bob Socci checked in this morning to talk to us about another classic matchup between the Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks. Per usual, it came down to the last play....at the goal line. Unlike the goal line win in the Super Bowl with Malcolm Butler, this one ended in a valiant loss for our Pats. The final in Seattle 35-30.

Ok, the silly Subway commercial Belichick is now the Patriots game face Belichick. Football is back, baby! I know, I know, no TB12, no Gronk, and everyone is disrespecting our Patriots. Don't you see? This is EXACTLY what Coach wants

This is not good. Patriot players are due this week in Foxborough to get their COVID-19 tests and start practicing. But already, it sounds like SIX Patriots have said, "no, thank you,' and are opting out of playing for the season. Presumably because of the threat of getting the disease. Two of these Pats players are big-time stars and starters. Yup, Patrick Chung, and Dont'a Hightower are out.
