A benefit concert with Maine Dead Project at their Woodshed Tasting Room for Portland House of Music and Events will be streamed live for free.

Facebook  When Leah Finkelstein was a student at Cape Elizabeth High School, she used sing with friends at the old Wrong Brothers’ Pub on open mic nights which led to playing like a million gigs all over Greater Portland. She's been making a name for herself in Tinseltown for several years and now she's bringing her talent back home.

Maine's Greg Martens has been putting great live music events to benefit those in need for many, many years now. And this Friday night with a little help from his friends, he's gratefully doing it again.

It's no secret that we LOVE Zeppelin at WBLM. We may be the Blimp but they are the original rock and roll dirigible! This Saturday night at Portland House of Music and Events, Maine musicians join together once again to celebrate the 1970's biggest band in the world, a band that is unquestionably one of the most innovative and influential artists of all time.

This is just what we need this week. Take a moment to enjoy the carefree joy of a child grooving to the music. Her name is Fawn and she was captured on video by her dad, Josiah at an outdoor performance from Portland musician, Lyle Divinsky.

Last Friday was a truly fantastic kick-off for a new organization aimed at feeding Maine children. It all started with a packed house at Gritty's in Auburn for John Popper live on WBLM.

We usually do the show live from our Gritty's LA Studio in Auburn on the last Friday of the month. When my friend Greg Martens called and asked if the broadcast could move up a week to welcome a very special guest, we were more than happy to oblige!
