We are coming off of one of the wettest and coolest July's on record. And we are on to August, where according to the National Weather Service in Gray, the cooler than normal temperatures will continue:
Hot enough for ya? Sorry, we had to do that. But, yes, it is indeed hot enough for us. Monday's high of 94 in Portland was not a record (we missed it by ONE degree) but it was the second earliest time it has hit 94 degrees in 80 years. Is this a sign of things to come for the summer?
Portland is looking at a HOT ONE today. Many places in Maine will hit 90 degrees today. Not bad for May! It's just a test, though, because we will see a 30-degree swing with Memorial Day Weekend highs only around 60 degrees. So, enjoy the heat while it lasts
