For the 40th consecutive game Isaiah Thomas scored over 20 points (33 to be exact) and the Boston Celtics chalked up another win, beating the Philadelphia 76ers 116-108.

The 20+ points streak ties Celtics great John Havlicek for the franchise record. Hondo did it back in the 1971-72 season.

As for the victory, it was the 11th win in the last 12 games for the C's. Boston is now 37-19 and in first place in their division by 4.5 games.

The improving 76ers gave the Celtics fits all night but in the fourth quarter it was the same formula - 13 points by Thomas and big plays by Marcus Smart. Smart had a career-high eight steals to go along with his 21 points.

The Celts have one more game before the all star break and it is tonight in Chicago.

Thomas will try to break the Havlicek record and the game is live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 7:30pm.
