Those that frequent Popham Beach every summer have become accustomed to one particular store being a consistent pitstop. Percy's, a family-run business that has served the area with everything from lobster rolls to fried dough, was thought to be closing down for good after the 2017 tourism season. But according to Bangor Daily News, Percy's is making a "comeback" for one more year.

Percy's actually took to Facebook to make the announcement, comparing their change of heart to an older musician on a comeback tour. The family acknowledging that there are health problems that will alter the hours of the business for 2018, but ultimately they couldn't pull themselves away from Popham and the people.

There was a resounding positive response to the news, with the store announcing they would reopen over Memorial Day weekend.
