Happy Birthday to singer-songwriter and all-around working man's rock star, Bob Seger! The legend turned 72 over the weekend.He was born Robert Clark Seger in Lincoln Park, Michigan on May 6,1945. Bob's music career started in the early 60s as a successful artist in Detroit.

In the early 70s, he put together The Silver Bullet Band who had a break-though hit with the album Live Bullet in 1976. This amazing snapshot of rock history was recorded during a hometown show at the Cobo Hall. Bob Seger is a 2004 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame whose built to last. He’s been rockin’ us with that incredible raspy voice and amazing songs for over 50 years and thankfully, continues to tour and record.

Bob Seger played Portland twice. The first appearance was as The Bob Seger System in 1970. The second time was 10 years later with The Silver Bullet Band on the Against the Wind tour at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
