Today’s Blimp Time-Hop: The Golden God Turns 70

These days he fronts a band called the Sensational Space Shifters. He also worked with bluegrass star Alison Krauss in ’07 and in the Eighties was a member of the Honeydrippers with Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. And oh yeah, do we even need to remind you that he’s the voice of Led Zeppelin? Didn’t think so.  Robert Plant turns 70 today. 

Thankfully, he did make one trek to Portland in the summer of 1990 on his Manic Nirvana tour.

He has been making music around 50 years or so and is still sounding incredible with that out-of-this-world vocal range. You’ll see what we're talking about in this video from his summer tour with the Sensational Space Shifters.
