12/14/1973 (43 years ago today) - The word is not yet out, apparently: Bruce Springsteen appears at The Pinecrest Country Club in Shelton, Connecticut; only 200 tickets were sold for the show.

12/14/1949 - Happy Birthday to long-time AC/DC bassist (and arguably owner of the best head of hair in rock) Cliff Williams, who turns 62 today. Cliff replaced Mark Evans on bass in 1977, and has been on every record and tour since; he also announced his retirement from the group following the "Rock Or Bust" tour (that finished with Axl Rose on vocals). Think he's got a few tales to tell? There's gotta be a book in there somewhere...
