12/23/1959 (57 years ago today) - You can't just say "Ooops!" here: Chuck Berry was arrested after taking 14 year old Janice Norine across a state line for "lewd purposes". It certainly didn't help that Chuck failed to realize she was, indeed, working as a prostitute. He was given five years in jail, but the sentence ended up being overturned after the judge was caught making racist comments! Around and around...

12/23/1989 (27 years ago today) - This might be where we began getting a little tired of this guy...: Phil Collins starts four weeks at No. 1 with "Another Day In Paradise", his seventh U.S. solo hit single, from his also-No. 1-U.S. album "...But Seriously". When really rich mega-stars sing about poverty, you've got to be really, really, really sensitive as to where the fine line is, just sayin'...

12/23/1941 - Happy Birthday to Iron Butterfly drummer Ron Bushy, 75 years old today, and the man behind the kit for the psychedelic classic "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". You had this album, no shame in admitting it. We all did.
