2/10/1958 (58 years ago today) - Frank Sinatra kicks off a five week run at No. 1 on the LP chart with "Come Fly With Me". It was Frank's first collaboration with conductor/arranger Billy May and was designed as a musical trip around the world, thus making it one of the very first concept LP's ever, years ahead of The Beatles and The Who. Just sayin'. Plus it swings!!!

2/10/1968 (48 years ago today) - Two classic singles debut on the chart at the same time, and  -- yowza!!! -- don't they both represent the era but perfectly: say hello to Sly & The Family Stone's "Dance To The Music" and Kenny Rogers & The First Edition's "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)". 1968 AM-radio singles were absolutely the best, doncha miss 'em?

2/10/1978 (38 years ago today) - From the "Final Nail in the Coffin" Dept.: Rod Stewart starts four weeks at No. 1 with "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?", his third U.S. chart-topper, his last drop of dignity flushed like burning, grainy excrement. Career suicide, phase one...
