1/18/1975 (42 years ago today) - Barry Manilow scored his first chart-topping single when "Mandy" hit the No. 1 spot on this date. Did you know: it was originally recorded in 1972 by Scott English (whoever he is/was) under the title "Brandy". One of those tunes that you actually don't have to listen to ever again, because just thinking about it results in you actually being able to hear it in your head!!! Gift or curse...
