6/16/1965 (51 years ago today) - Bob Dylan records "Like A Rolling Stone" for his forthcoming "Highway 61 Revisited" album at Columbia Studios in New York City. At 6-minutes-and-13-seconds, by 1965 standards, it was wa-aa-yyy too long to be played on the radio...but it was also too powerful to ignore; four weeks later, it would peak at No. 2 on the Billboard chart.
