Did you know?...: They had been friends since childhood and their very first onstage appearance together was in a grammar school production of "Alice In Wonderland", with Paul as "The White Rabbit" and Art playing "The Cheshire Cat". 11/22/1965 (52 years ago today) - While taking a break from touring, Bob Dylan marries Sara Lowndes in a secret ceremony literally under an old oak tree on a judge's lawn in Mineola, Long Island, New York -- Sara is the mother of Jakob Dylan (leader of The Wallflowers); she files for divorce on March 1st, 1977 -- Bob famously had written about their time together in "Sara", which appears on his 17th studio album "Desire", in January 1976...

11/22/1969 (48 years ago today) - Iron Butterfly are the headliners at the 3,500-seat Crenshaw Gymnasium at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia -- They are a red-hot concert draw at this point, riding mighty high on the super-success of their epic psychedelic monsterwork "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", which makes it kinda tough to be their opening act -- On this night, it's an unknown outfit named Steel Mill whose lead singer, a kid named Bruce Springsteen, is supposedly a guitarist of some renown out of Freehold, New Jersey of all places...
