10/11/1967 (51 years ago today) - True story here: before their headlining set, there was an actual beauty pageant held onstage! -- The Doors are ready to perform at Danbury High School in Danbury, Connecticut, but first, a master-of-ceremonies-announcer-type-guy waddled out to warn the audience that if anyone in the crowd got up out of their seats during the concert, they would be escorted directly out of the venue! No excuses! All in all, sounds like a mighty cool set-up for some good rockin'...

10/11/1999 (39 years ago today) - ...plus he got someone out front to actually pour a drink over the security guard's head! -- Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was released on $5,000 bail after facing charges related to a North Carolina show two years earlier in which he "incited a riot" by encouraging fans to attack a bouncer who was just doing his job. All in all, sounds like a mighty cool set-up for some good rockin'...
