We love bringing you to live rock shows in the Big Red Love Van. Especially when it's a show that happened here in Portland. On this date in 1978, the Motor City Madman played a sold-out show at the Civic Center! This was Sweaty Teddy at the height of his power. Cat Scratch Fever was a new song and Blimpville couldn't get enough of the Nuge! So tonight it's Ted Nugent live on the BLM Mini-Concert at 5:20. The openers at the '78 Portland show were a band called Nantucket. Ever heard of them? Yeah, me neither. Here's their song Heartbreaker. I kinda dig it actually. It sounds sorta like Head East.
