These days he fronts a band called the Sensational Space Shifters. He also worked with bluegrass star Alison Krauss in ’07 and in the Eighties was a member of the Honeydrippers with Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Do I even need to remind you that he’s the voice of Led Zeppelin? Didn’t think so. His name is Robert Plant and he turned 68 over the weekend. So tonight we’ll celebrate at 6:20 with live Zep on the WBLM Mini-Concert He has been making music for nearly 50 years now and is still sounding incredible with his out-of-this-world vocal range. You’ll see what I’m talking about in this video from his summer tour with the Sensational Space Shifters. Check out this awesome new performance of "Going to California" last month in Sicily. He’s absolutely still got it. Happy Birthday to the Golden God!

He croons..."Sometimes I get to thinking. I'm thinking about my baby. I think I've been singing this song for 45 years. I'm still looking for my baby. Anybody seen my, anybody seen my, anybody seen my, anybody seen my baby?" Brilliant!
