38 years ago today, the Electric Light Orchestra landed their space ship in Blimpville for a sold-out show at the Civic CenterThis appearance in Portland on September 29, 1978 was part of a tour called, The Big Night. It was a 9 month, 92 date trek all over the world in support of their double-album, Out of the Blue.  The stage was transformed into the ELO space ship and there was no lack of fog machines and incredible lasers. Jeff Lynne and company also played at London’s Wembley Stadium during this tour and did 8 sold-out nights in a row.

Join us tonight at 6:20 for live ELO on the WBLM Mini-Concert!

So great to see the violinist and cellists rockin' out in this video for Turn to Stone!
