41 years ago today, Eric Clapton returned to the stage at the Rainbow Theatre in London. Organized by Pete Townshend, it was his first concert appearance since George Harrison's Concert for Bangla-Desh in 1971. This night was EC's comeback after a period of heroin addiction. Joining Eric onstage were: Steve Winwood on keyboards, Jim Capaldi on drums, Ric Grech on bass, Ron Wood on guitar,  and of course Pete Townshend, also on guitar. Ah, that's a pretty amazing line-up...right?

We'll play stuff from this historic performance tonight at 5:20 on the WBLM Mini-Concert!
