WBLM celebrates the birth of a legend who has brought pure rock joy to our lives since his days way back with the James Gang. Ladies and gentleman, Joe Walsh

He was a member of the James Gang from 1968-1971, famous for the songs Funk #49 and Walk Away. In the early 70's, Joe formed a band called Barnstorm creating the   iconic Rocky Mountain Way and Turn to Stone. Joining the Eagles in 1975, he replaced guitarist Bernie Leadon. His first recording with them was the classic album, Hotel California definitely bringing the rock with his amazing licks on the title track and Life in the Fast Lane. In 1978 between Hotel California and The Long Run, Joe released But Seriously, Folks... featuring his funny take on rock stardom, Life's Been Good. Joe was with the Eagles until their break-up in 1980 and has been with them since the Hell Freezes Over reunion in 1994. Join us tonight at 6:20 for live Joe Walsh on the WBLM Mini-Concert!

He was born in Wichita, Kansas on November 20, 1947. HAPPY 68TH BIRTHDAY, JOE! His playing and singing sound as great as ever. Check out the great slide guitar in this one, live last month in Philly.
