30 years ago today, we lost the great Phil Lynott. The principal songwriter, lead singer and bass player of Thin Lizzy fame, died of heart failure and pneumonia on January 4, 1986. After a drug overdose, he was in a coma for 8 days before he passed. His most memorable contributions to the classic rock lexicon are The Boys Are Back in Town and Jailbreak. A life-size bronze statue has been standing in his honor since 2005 in Dublin where he grew up. Raise a pint in memory of Phil tonight and join us at 6:20 for Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous on the WBLM Mini-Concert!

Here's one of our faves...the 'Springteenesque', Dancing in the Moonlight!
