Tonight’s WBLM Mini-Concert [VIDEO]

WBLM delivered a huge concert announcement on Monday evening. In the springtime, John Mellencamp returns to Portland! It’s been just over 8 years since the legend played live here. His show at the Civic Center in December of '07 was absolutely the most memorable concert of that year. Actually, he has been at the Merrill Auditorium since then. Mellencamp wasn’t onstage, he was in the audience for a musical he collaborated on with Stephen King and T Bone Burnett called The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. That was in November of 2014. On Monday night we got the news that he will return this April to Merrill Auditorium.  John Mellencamp will resume his critically acclaimed Plain Spoken tour on April Fool’s day in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Portland gets the show on 4/20! He’ll be playing new songs from 2015’s Plain Spoken album and of course hit after hit from his 40 year career.Tickets will go on-sale Friday January 29 at noon.
