Robert Plant's solo album, Now and Zen was released on February 29, 1988. 28 years ago today...or is it? You see, today is Leap Year and since the 29th of February only happens every four years, this is only the 7th anniversary of Robert Plant's 4th solo album...right? And while we're here, Happy 7th Birthday to any Blimpsters born on 2/29/88!

When Now and Zen arrived here at BLM back then, we were all pretty stoked to learn that Jimmy Page was featured on two tracks, Heaven Knows and Tall Cool One. This was the first studio collaboration of Page and Plant since Led Zeppelin's last album, In Through the Out Door was recorded in 1978.

I was lucky to be one of the hosts for a BLM Concert Caravan to see Robert Plant at Great Woods in Mansfield, Massachusetts on May 20, 1988. What a magical night for all of us Blimpsters who partied together all the way there! The Golden God of course performed songs from the new album. He also blew our minds with In the Evening, Misty Mountain Hop, and Trampled Under Foot. This truly was one of the most otherworldly nights of my entire life. And as if what I've told you already wasn't enough, Stevie Ray Vaughan opened that night getting us all wet for Robert Plant.

Join us tonight at 6:20 for live Robert Plant on the WBLM Mini-Concert!
