Tonight’s WBLM Mini-Concert [VIDEO]

Yesterday we celebrated Pete Townshend turning 71 with the Who live and loud on the ride home. Sharing a birthday with Pete today is another rock legend. He was born May 19, 1949 in Dallas, Texas.  Joseph Michael Hill turns 67. Blimpville knows him better as ‘Dusty’ from ZZ Top. Soon after ‘That Lil’ Ole Band from Texas’ formed in 1969, he became the bass player, co-vocalist and sometimes keyboardist . There were two other bass players in the band briefly, before he joined Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard. Happy Birthday Dusty Hill!

WBLM is wicked proud to present ZZ Top on September 4 at the Maine State Pier. They were scheduled to play the Pier in the fall of 2014, but had to cancel because Dusty suffered a hip injury. It's pretty cool that it only took 'em 2 years to get back here. ZZ loves Portland and Blimpsters love to boogie with those drums, bass and fuzzy guitars.
