Three times Toronto slugger Josh Donaldson put the Blue Jays ahead of the Red Sox Friday night. The last time was in the 8th inning with a 2-run homer off Koji Uehara and that gave the Jays a 7-5 win.

Joe Kelly struggled all night as the Sox starter, lasting just 4.2 inning and giving up five runs.

Donaldson had four hits and five RBI to power the Jays.

The Sox offense sputtered again with just seven hits, Travis Shaw had two of them.
