The University of Maine baseball team saw its season come to an end on Thursday night with a 9-8 loss against UAlbany in the America East tournament.  The Black Bears end their season with a 20-35 record and lost the two games in the tournament by a combined two runs.

The Great Danes jumped out to an early lead against Maine with a run in both the first and third inning while keeping the Black Bears off the board.  Albany would score seven more runs from the fifth through seventh innings, but Maine would rally late to make the game interesting.  The Bears scored four times in the eighth innings to make it a one run game, but were unable to push across the tying run to extend the game.

Chris Murphy was charged for the loss with an unearned run allowed in the first inning and the offense for Maine was led by the three RBIs from Danny Casals.
