Several UMaine baseball players have received postseason honors prior to the start of today's America East tournament.Seniors Scott Heath and Luke Morrill were both named to the first team all-conference squad while Freshman Justin Courtney and junior Logan Fullmer were named the second team. Courtney was also an a--rookie team selection.

Today at 5pm the Bears will begin play in the America East tournament against the number two seed Maryland Baltimore County. Maine has a 40-9 all-time record against UMBC but lost two out three games played this year in the regular season. This will be the first time the teams have met in the conference tournament.

Luke Morrill goes into the tourney as the leading hitter in the Bears line-up with a .357 average and had driven in 28 runs. Courtney is likely to get the start on the hill as the freshman has a team low 2.83 ERA.

The Bears will go into the tourney with a record of 24026 and will try to win the championship for the first time since 2011.
