One of my family's favorite nearby places to visit is Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse in South Portland. It's a pretty good little workout to get from the shore at SMCC across the rugged rocky breakwater to the lighthouse. Once you get there, it really is breathtaking standing next to a Portland Harbor Lighthouse that's been around for over 100 years surrounded by the unique Maine beauty of Casco Bay. With warmer temps on the way, a trip back to one our best places for a walk will definitely be on the weekend schedule (in the summer, you go inside the lighthouse). Until then we can enjoy this. The creative local folks at Red Stallion Media shot a very cool 360 degree video of Spring Point Ledge at sunrise.

Click the arrows in the top left of the video for a virtual visit of this gorgeous Southern Maine vista. It's almost like you're really there turning your head left to right, up and down watching the dawn of a new day. It kept this guy busy for a bit.
