If you grew up in New England, you were touched by the friendly, whimsical voice of Dale Dorman. He was a radio personality in Boston for nearly 40 years starting at WRKO in 1968. While at RKO he worked with original WBLM owner, JJ Jeffrey. Most of us in Blimpville fondly remember coming home from school in the 70s and 80s hearing Uncle Dale's voice hosting The Flintstones and Banana Splits or Saturday afternoon's Creature Double Feature  on Boston's Channel 56, WLVI-TV.

He was also a huge AC/DC fan! I had the honor of meeting Dale at an AC/DC concert in 2000. Our seats were very near each other. Watching AC/DC live is mind blowing. Watching AC/DC with Dale Dorman definitely takes it to the next level. I just got the sad news of Dale's passing on October 21 at his home in Tewksbury.  He was 71. We thank him for all the inspiration and most of all, that he taught us to be ourselves on the radio. Rest in peace Uncle Dale.

So great to hear his voice in the video below
