Never afraid to tackle the tough questions, I did some digging and research, and here is what I found... straight from the folks at Ocean Spray who make my personal fave, Cran-Raspberry. They explained why our gelatinous red, ribbed log is in the can upside down and it makes total sense! The rounded end of the can allows for an air bubble, so all you have to do to release the cranberry sauce is to run a butter knife along the edge! So logical! great design folks!

For the purists in the room, here is a recipe for home made cranberry sauce.

I know that in some homes it is almost unforgivable to serve the canned stuff, but I actually really like it with Shepherd's Pie. I bet it would be yummy with Mac and cheese too. What do you eat with cranberry sauce? Comment on our Fan Page or tweet #craninacan

What's up with that cranberry-orange sauce though?
