Second year New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is already getting ready for next season after he experienced a disappointing first season and pocketed $16 million as part of his $28 million five-year contract, according to the Boston Globe.

The daily newspaper reported that Amendola, who was often injured during his time with the St. Louis Rams, caught 54 passes for 633 yards and had two touchdowns in in 12 games 2013. Expectations for Amendola will be high in 2014 and if he cannot stay healthy and produce, the Patriots could cut Amendola and move on.
