Maine has some gorgeous state parks, but wow, they are getting expensive! We bought a park pass to Crescent Beach for a couple of years but last year the bathroom was not functioning and the snack shack was closed. Booo!

About this time of year I start daydreaming about summer shenanigans and where they will take place. I have a friend who always gets a pass to Scarborough Beach, but parking is problematic and I can't get in with my Maine State Park Pass. Scarborough Beach isn't the only one, some more of our faves aren't accessible using our pricey pass.

Here are the rates for 2018 according to Maine.gov :

Individual pass - $55.00

Car pass - $105.00

Day use - varies from park to park

Veterans Pass - For a lifetime pass call Bureau of Veteran's Services at 207-4340-6035

65+ - no charge with ID

Maine State Passes do not include camping.

Here is a list of state parks and what kind of recreation is available at each one.

We here in Maine are blessed with natural beauty, and we are lucky to have some of these glorious spaces reserved as state parks. Will you buy a park pass this summer? Comment on our Fan Page.
