Your 2-Fer-Tues. Classic Lunch: The “Singer/Songwriters” Menu
Wotta day at the diner with an intimate live performance from New England’s legendary Jonathan Edwards! Jon’s doing a benefit with Pure Prairie League and Livingston Taylor this Saturday night for the Maine People’s Alliance at the State Theatre here in Portland and he stopped in to play some tunes. By the way, he’s unbelievable!
Pure Prairie League – “Falling In And Out Of Love/Amie” + “Let Me Love You Tonight” / Jonathan Edwards (live) – “Crazy Texas Woman” + “Gotta Sing High” / Paul Simon – “Mother And Child Reunion” + “Kodachrome” / Jonathan Edwards (live) – “My Love Will Keep” + “Get Together” / Elton John – “Tiny Dancer” + “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”
Nice to see (and hear) Jonathan Edwards in great shape, vocally and otherwise, a truly gifted good ol’ down-to-earth musician and a real pleasure to have as a guest today.
Tomorrow (Wed., 5/7) it’ll be The “Well…All Right!!!” Menu. Hey, it’s gonna be hard to top what went down today, y’know?
