Your Monday Classic Lunch: The “Baseball Is Back!” Menu
Today’s playlist was a very loose interpretation of what the opening day of the season feels like, but then again, since a lot of us woke up to a snow covered deck, driveway and automobile (yeesh!), the diner felt that taking “liberties” with the lunch theme was an okay thing to do, or else we’d have gone ballistic! “Snowing? There’s no snowing in baseball!!!”
“Turn! Turn! Turn!” – The Byrds / “Back Where I Started” – Box Of Frogs / “Glory Days” – Bruce Springsteen / “Play The Game” – Queen / “Games Without Frontiers” – Peter Gabriel / “Do It Again” – The Kinks / “Slip Slidin’ Away” – Paul Simon / “Play The Game Tonight” – Kansas / “Paradise By The Dashboard Light” – Meat Loaf / “Runnin’ Down A Dream” – Tom Petty / “Playing To Win” – The Little River Band
Wow, like the Little River Band song hasn’t been on-the-air in ages! Sometimes Classic Lunch is like that, it just all works out in the end! Tomorrow (Two-Fer-Tuesday, 4/1) we’ll skip past the April Fools stuff (too easy to get into trouble), and instead, for the first day of a brand new month, we’ll dish out The “First Two Will Do” Menu: all of the double-shots will consist of the first two songs on the first side of an artists’ first LP!
