My co-workers and I spend a lot of time scrolling through real estate websites. A LOT of time.

In fact, we probably spend an unhealthy amount of time looking at houses online.

After a while, they all kind of blend together into one gallery of vinyl siding, hardwood floors, tile backsplashes, and oddly colored carpeting.  Once in a while, though, one of these homes really grabs our attention.

The house at 152 Couillard Road in Palermo, Maine, is a great example.

An Equestrian’s (or Pizza Lover's) Dream

This Palermo home would make the perfect place for a local who has horses, someone looking for a family compound, or a wealthy family looking for a peaceful retreat.

The 4,700-square-foot home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home also has several rooms that can be used as family rooms, living rooms, or dining rooms.

One of the rooms even has a gorgeous punched tin roof.

The ground floor also has a cozy family room (or game room) that even has a beautiful bar.  Actually, that space would make a great man cave.

The house sits on a nearly 37-acre lot.  In addition to the main house, there are several outbuildings.  These include a 4-stall barn with a hay loft, making the property perfect for someone with horses.

If you have small children, one of the outbuildings is meant to be used as a playhouse.  However, if your children are older, it could be used as a small storage shed.

One of the most notable features of the property is the outside pizza oven. Constructed of brick, this was built to last.  Adjacent to the oven is a screened-in cabin that would make a great place to have dinner or just hang out and have some drinks with friends.
