Despite the rise in online shopping and major retailers offering Black Friday discounts in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, many people still consider Black Friday to be a significant event. This shift has decreased the number of shoppers rushing to stores on the day after Thanksgiving, but it remains important for a lot of individuals.

As of the writing of this article (November 22nd), there is a good chance that shoppers could wake up to nasty weather on Friday morning.

According to Weather.com, Central Maine could see as much as an inch of snow on Black Friday.  The precipitation is expected to continue into the evening.  However, it is going to be in the upper 30s that day, so the snow is not likely to stick around.

Northern Maine and Western Maine will see similar conditions.

The White Mountains of New Hampshire are expected to see snow throughout the day on Friday.  The snowfall is expected to continue through Friday evening.  Just like Maine, though, the temperatures will remain on the warm side, so it is unlikely the snow will stick around.

Boston will be warmer than the rest of New England.  As a result, the city will likely have more of a slushy mix than snow.  Still, it could make for some nasty driving.

On the plus side, we are going to have great travel weather in the days lead up to, and on, Thanksgiving.  So, you shouldn't have any problems getting to that family Thanksgiving dinner.
