
State Police Investigate Death of Woman in Central Maine
According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, the Maine State Police are investigating the death of a woman in Hartland, Maine.
The press release explains that, on Saturday, April 12th, the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central in response to a death at a residence on Canaan Road in the small town of Hartland.
The woman's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. On Monday, an autopsy was performed.

The press release goes on to say:
The results of the autopsy are pending, and the individual’s identity is being withheld pending family notification. The circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation. At this time, there is no known threat to the public.
