Popular Central Maine Chinese Eatery Announces Permanent Closure
We are fortunate to live in a state that is filled with amazing restaurants.
Whether you are looking for an amazing steak, tacos, pizza, or ramen, you can find it in Maine. Of course, there are some restaurants that are a little more prevalent in the state's bigger cities. You are unlikely to find a place serving caviar in Aroostook County, for example.
That being said, it seems like every town as at least one amazing Chinese place.
For example, in Skowhegan, many people would say that amazing Chinese place is Pak Lee.

Sadly, it looks like the restaurant will be closing its doors permanently.
The operators of the eatery recently posted on Facebook explaining to their regular customers why they had been closed for the last few weeks. It looks like the reason for the closure was the financial burden of running a business.
The post says, in part:
We would like to thank everyone for these past 12yrs for their love and support of our little mum and pop Chinese restaurant. We are thankful for all the joyous memories and the many friendly faces we have come to know like family. We would like to thank the community that has supported us throughout these years with all our trials and tribulations. With much deliberation and heavy hearts we, at Pak Lee Chinese Restaurant, will be permanently closed for the foreseeable future. Take care and stay safe.
We wish the Lee family all the best and the best of luck in their future business ventures.
