After 15 months of renovations, Black Bear Brewing and Pub is officially reopening today, Friday, Oct. 3, offering Orono residents a fresh spot for dining, drinks, and socializing.

According to WABI TV 5, the soft opening runs from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and visitors can enjoy live music from local musician Chris Ross. The reopening marks a new chapter for the popular gathering place, which has been closed for more than a year for updates and improvements.

General Manager Andrianna Robillard said the renovated pub is designed to provide a welcoming atmosphere where people can unwind after busy days or weeks. “Having a space where people feel welcomed, prioritized, and cared for is really important,” Robillard said to WABI.. “We want this to be a place where people can relax, socialize, and create memories together.”

The menu now features dishes crafted by a James Beard award-winning chef from Los Angeles, promising a variety of elevated culinary options. In addition, patrons can enjoy specialty cocktails and a selection of locally made brews, highlighting Maine’s craft beverage scene.

Black Bear Brewing and Pub’s reopening is expected to attract both longtime fans and newcomers, offering a blend of great food, drinks, and entertainment in a comfortable, inviting setting.
