Comedy for a Cause Comes to Winslow, Maine VFW
Following a successful 'Comedy For a Cause' event that was hosted at the beautiful Winslow, Maine VFW in August, organizers are back with another installment of this community-favorite event.
The Winslow VFW will host an evening of laughter and community support with Comedy for a Cause, a fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Airmen & Guardians Program, which provides assistance to Air Force veterans and their families.
The event takes place Friday, October 10th, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Winslow VFW.
The night’s lineup of comedians features host “Papa” Steve, along with Chris Fritz, Zac Calden, Katie Moon, Jennifer Rose, Malcolm Holmes, and Mike from Dexter.
Guests will also enjoy food from Hero’s on Wheels Food Truck, a full bar, and the chance to win raffles and door prizes valued at more than $500.
Admission is a suggested $20 donation per person, payable at the door or online.
The event is made possible thanks to the support of local sponsors: Centerline Utility Services, author Deborah J. Hughes (known for her paranormal mysteries), and KC’s Auto of Vassalboro.
Organizers encourage the community to come out for a fun night that gives back. “Grab your seats, enjoy great food, drinks, and comedy, all while supporting veterans,” they said.
This is a 21+ event so plan on getting a sitter and call your group of friends to plan an epic night out in Central Maine all while supporting a very worthwhile cause.
