Without a doubt, Halsey is one of the most popular pop singers of the last decade.

She has had a string of hits that include "Closer", "Bad at Love", and "Without Me".

According to an email from Waterfront Concerts and the Maine Savings Amphitheater, Halsey has announced that she is canceling tonight's scheduled concert in Bangor.

She had been scheduled to perform at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor tonight (Wednesday), but we got word this morning that the show has been canceled.

The singer released a statement about the sudden cancelation.  It reads:

i woke up this morning and my voice was just .. gone. i saw my doctor and they said singing tonight could cause injury if i don’t let my vocal cords rest.

so—we have to cancel tonight’s show in Bangor.

i’m devastated. there’s nothing that would keep me off of a stage besides not being able to sing. I would try to push through anything else, but this is the one situation I can’t.

the good news is that with time to rest, doctors have advised i'll be able to continue the rest of the tour as planned. canceling tonight is the only way to make sure that happens.

We hope that she feels better soon.

At this point, it does not appear that there are plans to reschedule the concert.  The email explains that anyone who had purchased tickets to the show will automatically get a full refund.
