New England Fan in Maine, I Now Know Why Everyone Hated The Pats

For years I was blind. I was blind to just how impactful and incredible the New England Patriots were not just to the National Football League, but to sports programs around the globe.

I grew up during a dynasty. I grew up at a time where the New England Patriots and the likes of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady were the absolute best at what they did. Did I take it for granted? Of course I did.

Why did everyone absolutely despise the Pats, though?

For years I couldn't figure out why everyone hated the Patriots so much. It literally seemed like New England fans loved their team so much, but literally every other fanbase in the country collectively came together to hate on the Patriots.

Fast forward to 2025 and I finally see the proverbial writing on the all. Now that we're in our post-Belichick/Brady era and the Pats have had a couple sub-par seasons, it all makes perfect sense. Because as someone who was never a band-wagon hater, I have joined the 'we hate the Chiefs' collective.

Why do I hate the KC Chiefs so much?

Don't get me wrong, I have so much respect for Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the team- they're amazing. And, that amazingness is exactly why I hate them so much. I can't stand the fact that another team, especially in the AFC, has taken the place of the New England Patriots.

Sure, the Chiefs have a ways to go to reach the same milestones and records set before them in New England, but they very easily could pull it off- and that pisses me off.

So, if like me, you too are a bandwagon hater of KC, you are stuck between a rock and a hard place because our only option now, it to root for the friggin' Bills this weekend. Again, I think Josh Allen is one the best QBs in the league, but come on.... the BILLS?!

I want to see a Commanders v Bills Super Bowl. But I want the Commanders to crush the Bills. Make sense?
