Eventually police that were in pursuit decided to pull back for the safety of everyone involved. Police ended the pursuit while on Fort Road, however, a short time later, the driver apparently crashed into a carriage being pulled by a horse.

Was the suspect known to area police officers?

WABI reports that Vangel was on 10 different sets of bail conditions at the time of the crash on Tuesday.
