Personally, it's one of my favorite times of the year: fall!

And with fall comes many things to enjoy, from cooler weather, football, and turkey, to falling leaves and spooky costumes.

Of course, with spooky costumes, comes trunk or treats of all shapes and sizes. And we just learned about a big trunk or treat that is heading for the Windsor Fairgrounds this month.

Hosted by local construction company G.A. Doughty, the large event will happen on Saturday, October 26 from 4 to 8 p.m.

They explain that this will be the largest event they have hosted yet, and it will include food trucks, dessert trucks and more.

When it comes to trunk or treating over regular trick-or-treating, many parents, myself included, feel that traditional trick-or-treating can pose safety concerns, such as traffic hazards, dimly lit streets, or visiting unfamiliar homes.

Trunk or Treat events, like the one in Windsor, offer a more controlled, well-lit environment where kids can safely go from car to car. Additionally, you typically won't find food trucks while you're going door-to-door in a neighborhood!

So make sure you put a reminder in your phone for this event so you have loads of candy to steal from your kids for the next several months. Just kidding. Actually, I'm not.

According to an excerpt from their Facebook event page,

G.A. Doughty Construction is holding our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat event! This year will be the biggest yet! We will be hosting it at the Windsor Fairgrounds in Windsor, ME! We will have food trucks, dessert trucks and much more!
